Resilient Harvests Conference calls for CEA leaders to share expertise
The Resilient Harvests Conference, first announced in March by our parent company, Endeavor Business Media, will be held this fall in Long Beach, CA. But first, the organizers at Resource Innovation Institute and associated steering committee members will need to review speaker proposals. Have you sent in an abstract yet?
In years past, I’ve blogged about the opportunities available to help shape the conference programs that LEDs Magazine supports, from Strategies in Light to our Horticultural Lighting and HortiCann conferences. Is this opportunity any different, you may ask? Well, yes, I think so.
For starters, we are fortunate to have an incredibly experienced and diversely associated steering committee for this upcoming Resilient Harvests event. You can see a list of members on the conference website, but note that they come from many professional backgrounds: market development programs, like the DesignLights Consortium; utilities and agencies such as Southern California Edison and California Energy Commission; and agricultural academia and consultancy as well, including McGill University and Agritecture.
Why does that matter? The steering committee reflects the breadth of content and knowledge the organizers are seeking for this Resilient Harvests Conference. The strategy is to bring together speakers who are actively involved in policy and regulations, technology integration, and business development opportunities such as energy efficiency programs and utility offerings with those who are striving to build out the future of controlled environment agriculture (CEA).
Resilient Harvests is intended to connect those with the knowledge and ability to drive growth in the CEA market with the industry stakeholders and operators of CEA facilities.
