UL Solutions Inc. recently announced it has awarded Cohesion, a smart building software platform, the first Smart System Verified Platinum rating for unified building operations software, helping empower trust in smart building technology among building owners, contractors, consultants and operators.
The use of smart building technologies is increasing due to their impact on sustainability and the enhanced experience for building occupants and operations management. These features may include reservations and amenities management, identity management, temperature controls, indoor air quality monitoring and optimization, and more.
For Cohesion to receive the Smart System Verified Platinum rating, UL Solutions evaluated its platform across six categories:

- Cybersecurity
Each category has different areas of examination reflected in sub-categories, and UL Solutions utilized its science-based methodology throughout this evaluation.
