LEED Silver certified Fall River Justice Center replaces two older courts.
Located on South Main Street, the new 154,000 square foot Fall River Justice Center replaces two older court buildings, boasting nine courtrooms, public circulation areas, law library, jury pool, and detention areas.
The Fall River Justice Center was designed to utilize natural light, featuring an L-shaped concept that organizes space and provides an amazing view of the harbor. Fall River Justice Center was created with revisions in mind – most floors are the same height to better facilitate renovations in the future.
Specialty materials such as renewable eucalyptus millwork and light grey dolomite limestone were combined with standard issue components to create the new center. Specifically designed to be energy- efficient, the Fall River Justice Center helps prevent carbon dioxide emissions associated with fossil fuel energy.
The Fall River Justice Center was issued the Energy Star award and was designed for LEED Silver certification.
