Clopay Corporation now offers a fire-rated counter door under its Cornell and Cookson brands that features fire and smoke protection in compact designs. Models ERC10 and ERC11 have the smallest footprint of any available counter fire door. The ERC11 model features the SmokeShield package with smoke gasketing integrated into the guides.
Both have a UL fire rating up to three hours and failsafe activation with an AlarmGard in-tube motor, which closes the door when the alarm signal is activated or during an extended period of power loss. It automatically resets when the alarm is cleared or the power is resumed. A galvanized steel hood encloses the curtain and provides fire protection at the head of the door. Specify the ERC10 and ERC11 in sizes up to 16 feet wide and 10 feet high, with a 120-square-foot maximum.
