Convert Hydronic Heating to On-Demand Domestic Hot Water

Dec. 4, 2024
This self-contained unit replaces centralized hot water for energy and water savings and improved water quality.

The Uponor AquaPort is a self-contained unit that converts a building’s hydronic heating supply to on-demand domestic hot water with a proportional control valve (PCV) and double-wall heat exchanger. Removing the centralized domestic hot water and recirculation piping provides numerous benefits, including energy and water savings and improved water quality. It can reduce hot-water energy use by up to 35% and mitigate microbial growth in the domestic hot water system. The compact, in-wall design minimizes square footage.
