Brian Ensign, vice president of marketing for Superior Essex Communications, will lead a panel discussion regarding the latest Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology for the smart buildings segment during a 2021 BICSI Fall Conference session set for Wednesday, Aug. 25, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. (Pacific Time).
The panel presentation, entitled “Enabling the Sustainable Intelligent Building through 90W PoE and Beyond,” will also feature Don Schriner and Bob Cicero of Cisco; and Luis Suau of Sinclair Digital.
As reckoned by Superior Essex:
The PoE delivery and cable design experts on the panel will discuss intelligent building enablement through the deployment of 90-watt capable PoE that supports multiple applications.
“It’s an exciting time in the design of intelligent buildings and the technology that’s available to operate and optimize their systems,” Ensign said. “Our presentation will help those attending understand what’s possible today, and what’s coming tomorrow, to make smart buildings even smarter.”
At the BICSI Fall Conference, Superior Essex, among the top manufacturers and suppliers of communications cable in North America, also will co-exhibit in its booth #6228 with Legrand, the company’s partner in the nCompass Systems platform, which offers a streamlined suite of high-performance copper and optical fiber structured cabling and connectivity products for communications.
The BICSI Fall Conference is being held both in person (in Las Vegas) or online August 24-26 (with master classes August 22 and 23). For more information or to register for the event, visit the conference home page.
