U.S Energy Secretary Steven Chu has joined other government agencies in launching the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Export Initiative to promote energy efficiency exports.
U.S Energy Secretary Steven Chu has joined other government agencies in launching the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Export Initiative to promote energy efficiency exports.
The DOE is investing in market research and discovery that will help allocate resources for trade promotion.
"Expanding U.S. clean technology exports is a critical step to ensuring America's economic competitiveness in the years ahead," says Secretary Chu. "The initiatives we are announcing today will provide us with a better understanding of the global clean energy marketplace and help boost U.S. exports."
The initiative is this country’s first Federal government coordinated effort supporting renewable energy and energy efficiency exports.
The initiative is expected to show significant increase in renewable energy and energy efficiency exports within the next 5 years.
