BUILDINGS Announces 35 Winners of 2025 Product Innovation Awards

Specifying products for commercial facilities is a tough task. Some may be the answer you’ve been looking for—but others don’t live up to the hype. BUILDINGS’ annual showcase of high-performance products, the Product Innovation Awards (PIAs), celebrates the building materials and solutions that help users create and maintain beautiful, functional, and high-performance commercial buildings.

The PIAs, which are judged by industry insiders from all facets of building design and management, spotlight manufacturers who offer the concepts, products, and systems that take the built environment to the next level.

Our judging panel included:

• Shell Turner has been an onsite property manager for Interlock Tower, a Class A mixed use property, with Bridger Properties since 2024. She began her commercial real estate career in 2016 and has since managed millions of square feet across Nashville and Atlanta, with experience at CBRE, Transwestern, and Piedmont Office Realty Trust. An active BOMA member, she is a conference speaker, published author, and 2019 J. Michael Coleman Scholarship recipient.
• Macky Guilherme is Principal and Director of Property Management at Capital Associates Management, bringing over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate and property management. He oversees a diverse portfolio of almost 4 million square feet and leads a team dedicated to operational excellence. Macky holds the CPM®, RPA®, and FMA® designations and serves on BOMA International’s Executive Committee, championing best practices and advancing innovation in the industry.
• Julie Blazek is a Partner at HKP whose strategic and holistic approach to the design and construction process leads to context-driven, function-focused, uplifting architecture. Her design work has received numerous awards from the AIA Northwest Washington and, for the Twin Lakes Landing affordable housing project, national recognition from the National Association of Home Builders.
• Tim Sliger is Principal of Architecture for Hendrick. He is a dedicated architect with over a decade of experience, focused on creating sustainable, high-quality spaces that reflect the goals of his clients. He has a deep passion for thoughtful design, and his work is rooted in addressing both functional and aesthetic needs.
