Typically, 2- by 4- foot fluorescent troffer fixtures include four 32 watt tubes. Domino's increased energy efficiency by installing LEDs that use only 50 watts per fixture. For future energy efficient projects, Domino’s will utilize LEDs that use 44 watts per fixture.
Savings for Domino's pilot location:
$2,400 per year and $25,000 over LED life
325,000 pounds of CO2 saved
With over 10,000 global Domino's locations, the savings is projected to be massive:
Annual: $24,000,000
Lifetime: $250,000,000
Lifetime CO2 Savings: 3.25 billion pounds (1.625 million tons)
The case study is available on the Vanguard and Independence LED websites.
