EvoCharge has launched its line of 40-amp charging stations, which can charge up to 30 miles of range per hour. The chargers can accommodate vehicles with bigger batteries, which is crucial as auto manufacturers introduce EVs with longer ranges enabled by large batteries. Equipped with ethernet ports, which provide greater security and a hardline connection where the wireless signal is unreliable.
Like EvoCharge’s 32-amp products, these units require a 240-volt connection. A 50-amp circuit is recommended for optimal operation, but the chargers can also be set to limit the power to 16, 24 or 32 amps if the circuit they’re installed on can’t deliver the full 40 amps.
