SmartView is a web-based energy modeling tool that predicts total cost of ownership for the entire building envelope, as well as the cost of capital, inflation, energy price escalation, and expected equipment life.
The tool relies on tested thermal performance data and a DOE simulation engine to create an hour-by-hour simulation of building energy usage through its whole lifetime.
Users can make adjustments to envelope components to see how cost is affected, then identify the most cost-effective choices for their facility.
