Fluorostar is a high-performance, field-applied top coat for restoring and protecting multiple types of roofing surfaces with long-lasting color. The water-based, ultra-thin film roof coating is formulated with Kynar Aquatec, a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) polymer resin by Arkema Inc. Fluorostar topcoat is ideal for commercial, municipal or industrial applications over spray foam, TPO, PVC, EPDM, metal, masonry and asphaltic products such as BUR or modified bitumen.
Features include superior resistance to fading from UV radiation and minimized absorption of solar energy. Resists dirt, biological growth, chalking and degradation and can maintain color for 20 years. When used with an Everest acrylic EverCoat system, Fluorostar offers exceptional durability, abrasion resistance and waterproofing properties. Low odor and compliant with South Coast Air Quality Management District Rule 113 VOC limits in Southern California for industrial maintenance coatings, with only 50 grams/liter of VOCs.
